(Patriot Insider) – Victoria’s Secret has made the stunning and brave decision to go full-blown woke and do away with their world-famous Angels supermodels in favor of American-hating social justice warriors like Megan Rapinoe and transgender models like Valentina Sampaio.
The lingerie company has decided it’s time to totally rebrand and they’re abandoning everything, literally everything, that made them a wildly successful global brand in the first place.
The supermodels are going to be replaced with “high-profile women known for their accomplishments rather than their figures,” Fox News reports. How inspiring.
Along with Rapinoe and Sampaio, Victoria’s Secret plans to spearhead their campaign to destroy their own brand with freestyle skier Eileen Gu, model and advocate Paloma Essler, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, model and South Sudanese refugee Adut Akech, and photographer Amanda de Cadenet.
According to Fox, the women “will work with the retailer to redefine what the word ‘sexy’ means as the company faces competition and pressure to be inclusive of women with various body types.”
Surely a bunch of woke, offended women know what “sexy” is and how to sell it.
Chief Executive Martin Waters (who is notably a man) claims, as per the New York Times, that Victoria’s Secret hopes to become a global “advocate” for female empowerment.
“When the world was changing, we were too slow to respond,” said Waters. “We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want.”
Victoria's Secret is getting rid of its Angels and wings. The company has hired new representatives — including soccer star Megan Rapinoe and actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas — as it tries to conduct one of the most extreme brand turnarounds in recent memory. https://t.co/tdP4s3cCNM

How brilliant since women wear lingerie for themselves rather than for the men in their lives. It sounds like the people running Victoria’s Secret have a fundamentally flawed understanding of the very products they sell.
The new clan of women to replace the Angels will be known as the VS Collective and will focus on advising the brand, appearing in ads, and promoting Victoria’s Secret on social media.
Perhaps the most outspoken of the new VS Collective members is Rapinoe. Rapinoe has been on a crusade to prove just how awful America really is for years now. The 35-year-old said that VS was sending a “really harmful” message that was “patriarchal, sexist, viewing not just what it meant to be sexy but what the clothes were trying to accomplish through a male lens and through what men desired. And it was very much marketed toward younger women.”
Rapinoe also said that “As a gay woman, I think a lot about what we think is sexy, and we are afforded the ability to do that, because I don’t have to wear the traditional sexy thing to be sexy and I don’t think the traditional thing is sexy when it comes to my partner or people I’ve dated.”
“I think functionality is probably the sexiest thing we could possibly achieve in life. Sometimes just cool is sexy too.” Why is someone who clearly has no interest in lingerie and femininity the new voice of a lingerie company? It’s truly mind-boggling.
“For decades, Victoria’s Secret’s scantily-clad supermodels epitomized the height of femininity for millions. Now, the lingerie giant is not just trying to redefine itself — but also the very idea of what “sexy” is” the New York Times said.
So, now heterosexual women are to be told what is “sexy” by a lesbian rather than men? There just aren’t enough words to describe how utterly absurd this is.
Chief Executive Martin Waters’ thinking on the future of the company isn’t much better. For his part, however, Waters sounds like he is just willing to do and say anything to keep his job amid the company’s move to focus on “female empowerment.”
Martin said that he’s known the company needed to be changed for a while now but hasn’t “had the control of the company to be able to do it.” He also added that he doesn’t see the Angels as “culturally relevant” any longer.
This summer the company plans to make big changes and new products will include size-inclusive products and advertising as well as maternity wear. The “VS Collective” will also be featured in a new podcast.
They say, “Go woke, go broke,” and we have a feeling Victoria’s Secret is going to find this out in the most epic of ways.
